Congregate meals create an opportunity to socialize and enjoy a well-balanced meal with other people.

Hot noon meals are served in Hastings five days a week at the Golden Friendship Center, 509 S. Bellevue. Programs often accompany these meals.
Seniors wishing to participate in the center meal program must make reservations by 2:30 p.m. the day before the meal, or on Fridays for the next Monday. Reservations can be made by calling 463-4439. A minimum donation of $4 at all sites is suggested to help defray a portion of the actual meal cost. GFC has a salad bar at its site site. The salad bar includes the salad of the day on it, two other salads, and a lettuce salad with extras like pickels, olives, cheese, croutons, and Dorothy Lynch or ranch dressing. Meals can be paid for on a daily basis or meal tickets are available for purchase.
