In addition to transportation services and meal programs, ACSS can offier assistance to seniors in the area in a number of other ways.

Legal assistance is available the second Wednesday of every other month. A staff attorney visits the Golden Friendship Center at 509 S. Bellevue to provide services such as will, power of attorney and estate planning. There is a suggested donation, based on the client's income and the level of service requested. Please call the office at 463-4439 if you wish to speak privately with the attorney. The attorney will next be available on:
•February 8

Legal Aid of Nebraska also provides free legal assistance to Nebraska seniors age 60 and over. The ElderAccessLine can be used to get information about such issues as Medicare/Medicaid, simple will preparation, grandparent rights, consumer protection, power of attorney, advanced directives, homestead exemption and other legal concerns. The ElderAccessLine number is 1-800-527-7249.

Adams County Senior Services will not be participating in Tax Assistance this year. Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska will be providing tax assistance help. For more information, please call Katie Shaw at 402-463-7679.
